Admission / Assessment
Inquiries, admission and confidential assessments are available
through our Evaluation and Referral Department. Self referrals are
accepted as well as referrals from local and regional healthcare
professionals who privately refer individuals and families to The
Brook Hospital. We firmly believe that the trust and respect placed
in The Brook Hospital is a direct result of our positive clinical
outcomes and high patient and family satisfaction rates.
Appointments can be scheduled 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.
Our comprehensive evaluations address past history, present level
of functioning, medical stability, chemical dependency history and
risk factors. Evaluations are provided by professional, qualified
clinicians and psychiatric nurses. Upon discussion with an
Attending Physician, recommendations for treatment, level of care,
and/or referrals are then provided to the patient and family.
In addition to the free assessments provided at The Brook, we can
also provide an on-site mobile evaluation, which can be performed
at Hospitals/ER's, Schools, Group Homes, and others by contacting
The Brook's T.I.M.E. (The Brook Immediate Mobile Evaluation)
Team.
Cost of Treatment
The Brook Hospital is dedicated to providing quality treatment
at an affordable cost in a safe and supportive environment. While
financial obligations are the ultimate responsibility of the
patient or guardian, The Brook Hospital is covered by most
insurance and managed care companies, including Medicare. Our
admitting counselors will inform patients and family members of
their medical coverage as well as make any necessary financial
arrangements for treatment.

Length of Stay
The length of stay varies based on the individual needs of the
patient. Every patient that is admitted into one of our programs
has an individualized treatment plan. Length of stay is determined
by a multidisciplinary team that includes the physician and the
patient.
